Terms and Conditions

BikeBox is a service concept owned and operated by Pyörä & Paikka Oy. Its users are primarily  cyclists from nearby workplaces, but the service to others is not limited in any way.  

The basic services of the BikeBox Station are available to the customer in the space chosen by  the customer and according to the agreed payment method and period of use. Any additional  services, such as maintenance or bike rental, are separate services subject to an additional fee.  

When a new customer joins the service, the customer agreement enters into force when the  relevant invoice has been found to have been paid. The customer relationship is valid until  further notice and is continued automatically. The customer has the right to terminate the  customer relationship during the contract period. In this case, the customer relationship is valid  until the end of the ongoing and paid usage period. BikeBox has the right to close the user’s  account and terminate the customer relationship if the payment has not been made in  accordance with the payment terms.  

As a customer of BikeBox Station, you agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance  with the terms of use. BikeBox Station is only intended for parking bicycles. The use of the  facilities for other purposes without separate permission is prohibited. As a user, you must  ensure that the doors of the facility are locked when you leave. Unauthorized persons must not  be allowed into the premises.  

The access code of the door is personal. The user of the service is not allowed to disclose their  own number code to third parties. In such cases, the person who gave the code is responsible  for any harm caused by this or damage caused by unauthorized users at BikeBox Station.  

An RFID tag is an optional additional service that works in parallel with the number code. The  tag can be redeemed for use for a deposit. Like the number code, the tag is personal and may  not be passed on for external use. If the RFID tag is lost or falls into wrong hands, this must be  reported immediately to BikeBox, either by email yhteys@bikebox.fi or text message to +358  40 721 3220. This way, the tag can be closed and the possibility of misuse can be minimized. 

BikeBox is not responsible for any damage caused to the user’s own or other bikes parked in  the space or to the property. The bikes and other property of the users parked at the BikeBox  Station are covered by each user’s own insurance cover.  

The BikeBox Station is intended for active parking of bikes, not for long-term storage. We  reserve the right to remove abandoned bikes from the space if necessary.  

The user is responsible for any damage caused by failure to comply with these instructions or  due to intentional misuse.  

Privacy and Data Protection  

Pyörä & Paikka Oy complies with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation in  the processing of personal data.  

Pyörä & Paikka Oy registers the users of BikeBox for the safety of the bicycle park, as well as  for invoicing and marketing of its own products and services. The information to be registered is  obtained from the questionnaire required to join the service. By registering, each user receives a  personal user ID that is used to control the use of the service. This ID is delivered to the user at  the beginning of the customer relationship.  

Personal data is stored only in digital format and is deleted at the end of the customer  relationship. This does not apply to accounting, where invoicing information is stored for the  period specified in the Accounting Act.  

Customer data is stored in the Deltabit Gatekeeper access control system and the Fennoa  accounting system. Their users are defined and their use is controlled based on personal IDs  and passwords.  

Pyörä & Paikka Oy does not disclose personal data to third parties.  

BikeBox users have the right to receive information about their personal data. Anyone who  wants information must contact us either by email at yhteys@bikebox.fi or by phone at 040  7213 220.
